A DATABASE IS LIKE A VIRTUAL LIBRARY. It is a searchable collection of regularly updated information. When you search a database, you are not searching the web; you are searching pre-selected material that is the equivalent of what you might find on a library shelf in print.
Ask your school site teacher librarian for log in information. You can also link through your school site from the SFUSD School Libraries below.

PEEF, the Public Education Enrichment Fund, has made it possible to have vibrant library programs throughout SFUSD. In 2004, SF voters passed a proposition calling for the city to help fund sports, libraries, art and music. These funds have revitalized our school libraries with resources and credentialed teacher librarians. It must be reauthorized by voters in 2013 in order for libraries to continue to be the academic hub of schools.
