SFUSD is the highest performing large urban school district in the state of California. SFUSD is actively looking for educators who will join us in our mission to close the achievement gap and work towards diminishing the predictive power of demographics through the following goals:

Our Students

SFUSD has a diverse population of 56,000 students. There are 44 documented languages spoken by our students and 26.5% speak English as a second language.

Our Teachers

SFUSD is a data driven district. We take great care to ensure that each school’s staff understands their students' achievement data and have the strategies needed to increase student performance. Our classroom teachers use standards-based curriculum in all subject areas.

SFUSD currently has 251 Nationally Board-Certified Teachers and 363 bilingual classroom teachers. Our teachers have an average of 11 years of experience which contribuates to a broad range of expertise within our schools.
