Discovery Workshops will guide you through the application and enrollment process for Kindergarten and for new students and for students who will be moving into middle and high school. View the Discovery Workshop schedule.

  • Parent Advisory Council The PAC advises the San Francisco Board of Education of parents' perspectives and recommendations on school district issues.
  • Parent Teachers Association The PTA works to positively impact the lives of all children and families by representing its members and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication.
  • Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco a network of parents working together to build quality schools for all San Francisco children by providing parents with information, news and parent-to-parent networking and by developing parent leaders at the school and district level.
  • Coleman Advocates for Children and Youth a local community organization that works to transform San Francisco's services and policies for children, youth and their families in order to create a more family-friendly community.

  • English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). Every school with 21 or more English Learners has an ELAC. The role of the ELAC is to advise the principal and School Site Council on programs and services for English Learners.
  • District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC). Every ELAC is invited to send representatives to the DELAC. The DELAC provides recommendations to the District on ways to improve programs and services for English Learners.
  • School Site Council (SSC) The role of the SSC is to guide the site planning process to ensure that the needs of all students are addressed in the school site plan.
