Community Partnerships

SFUSD's community schools approach

aims to strategically coordinate and align our valuable resources – including relationships with our families and community - to support the shared vision, goals and outcomes of each school community.  We work to build positive student, family, school and community partnerships to support effective teaching and learning, promote whole-child development and prepare our students to graduate ready for success in college, career and life.

What We Do:

  • Convene stakeholder engagement and partnership opportunities including the Community Partnerships Network, the LCAP Task Force and public forums
  • Provide technical support to schools to plan for, evaluate and improve partnerships with community organizations and city agencies
  • Help community groups and district staff to navigate SFUSD's systems and procedures for formal partnerships.

Get connected!

The Community Partnerships Network is a collaboration of district staff, community organizations and public agencies.   Network meetings provide the space and opportunity for community partners working with public schools to strengthen relationships, inform our practice, and build collaborative work to support our students to be successful.

Visit our Community Partnerships Network web site to learn about Network meetings, action steps through working groups, and contact info for participants in the Network.
