School Nutrition Services
Nutrition service programs provide nutritionally balanced foods that promote good dietary patterns. They provide foods low in salt, fat, and sugar, and high in fiber. Breakfast and lunch programs reinforce the nutrition education section of the curriculum. Vending machines and snacks are limited to healthy foods.
  • The Department of Nutrition Services provides breakfast and lunch programs in accordance with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
  • In collaboration with the American Heart Association, a Healthy Heart Week menu provides low fat, low cholesterol, low sodium meals in the school lunch programs.
