Foundations and Non-profits
- Youth for Service provides assistance to youth and young adults so that they are able to enter today's competitive world and keep themselves trained for future employment opportunities.
- Linking San Francisco (LSF) is a community of schools and organizations working together to help our students learn and improve our city through service learning.
- Greetings from the Bay Area Coalition of Essential Schools (BayCES).
BayCES is a regional network of secondary schools that are committed to
increasing the learning and achievement of every student.
- Currently at work with thirty SFUSD schools
The San Francisco Bay Girl Scout Council
provides self-esteem, academic support and leadership skills to
girls throughout the Bay Area.
- Since 1979, the San Francisco Education Fund (Ed Fund) has
been dedicated to improving the quality of public education in San
Francisco. The Ed Fund has
channeled over $11,000,000 into San Francisco public schools
with the support of contributions from corporations, foundations,
and individuals.

- The PTA is celebrating its 100th birthday this year. Become a member or volunteer. Your participation will be welcomed.

CompuMentor partners with the SFUSD on the Home Computer project.
- The San Francisco Recycling Program provides educational materials for teachers and students, conducts educational programs and offers technical assistance to schools interested in setting up recycling and waste prevention programs.
- The Every Child Can Learn Foundation helps the District and school sites gather resources to support our educational mission. Visit their site to find grants you can use for class or school projects.
- SFUSD's San Francisco School Volunteers links schools, businesses, and the community for bettering the quality of education. Are you ready to help?
- The Exploratorium trains SFUSD teachers to enrich our science and mathematics curriculum.
- Americorps is a national service program that has many projects working with San Francisco students and schools.
- The San Francisco Early Childhood Information System Project is a collaborative of local agencies including the SFUSD Child Development Centers to provide access to information on young children.

Corporate and Labor Partnerships
- IBM selected SFUSD as a site for its Reinventing Education grants.
- Pac Bell funded much of the SFUSD Internet infrastructure with its CalREN grant, works with Bryant Elementary School on its Education First initiative, and donated hundreds of wiring kits to aid SFUSD schools to participate in NetDay96. On September 25, 1996, Pac Bell announced the donation of 500 Pentium computers to SFUSD to enhance Internet access for schools in Bay View/Hunters Point for Phase One of the Partners in Education initiative.
