ESL Department Meeting Minutes 5/12/2005
Present: Fang, F; Chan, C; Irving, G; Collins, R; Zilch, E; Mok, S
1. Survey: We did the Wellness Center's survey. 2. Shinning Star Textbook training: We discussed who should be going to the training. It came to a conclusion that language development teachers should go to the training. Therefore, Mr. Irving would replace Mr. Zilch to go to the training. 3. Child-Protective-Services reporting procedure: Teachers were reminded that if any student reported any suspected child abuse or sexual harassment case, teachers must make the report in person. Newspaper article about incidents happened at other schools was passed around.
4. Textbook return procedure: Teachers who teach senior sections must return the textbook before May 30. When returning textbooks to Olga, make sure to complete the lost book cards. If teachers need more lost book cards, see Mr. Fang or Olga. 5. District's ELD teacher meeting: A copy will be placed in all ELD teachers' mailbox whenever there is an announcement. 6. WASC evidence: If you need anything from the department head, please put it in writing and submit to Mr. Fang. |
