1. School health programs department student safety survey:

Students feel less safe at our school than the district-wide. Teachers should be in the hallway to supervise students to make them feel safe. If teachers notice a problem, they should let the administrators know. Teachers had a discussion about this. They believe that administrators should be aware of the fact that there is lack of security or administrative supervision on second and third floor, and the stairway at the back of the library during passing period. Also, teachers would feel more appreciative if administrators praise them more on what they have done right rather than pointing out their problems all the time. Other teachers believe that the real reason that our students feel less safe is because of the over crowded situation in the hallway. If anyone is constantly pushed back and forth in any situation, he/she will never feel safe.

2. WASC groups:

Teachers talked about the WASC groups that we got from last week's meeting and pick the ones that we thought that we needed the most.

3. Bilingual reclassification follow up procedure:

Teachers will be receiving the follow up form to fill in questions 1 to 4 and return to Mr. Fang. A sample form was shown to all teachers.

4. Mr. Irving recommended a new rubric for teachers to use to check students' writing. Everyone got a sample.
