1. Textbook adoption:

The district has adopted a supplementary ELD series for ELD classes: The Shining Star. The level 7/8 will be the Azar Grammar (blue book). The department will be getting a set to review.

2. Supplementary reading books that we need:

We are fine on higher level books but we need lower level reading books. After discussion, the following books will be used if no other better books that have been considered:

Level 1: Picture dictionaries and Very Easy True Stories;

Level 2: Easy True Stories and ____________________

Level 3: Basic Reading Power; Voices in Literature (bronze)

Level 4: Voices in Literature (silver)

More books will be available for teachers to review.
