Purpose:  Solar Schools Kick-off and Student to Student Education  Lessons

Date: Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Time:  1:00 p.m. Location:

A.P. Giannini Middle School (6th-8th)

3151 Ortega St., San Francisco, CA 94122

Come and join us for the official kick-off of PG&E’s commitment to bringing solar education into San Francisco Schools. A.P. Giannini is one of eight schools in San Francisco that has been granted a 1-kw solar-on-a-stick educational installation and we are inviting the community to help us celebrate!

Veteran PG&E solar school students from Paradise, California are coming to San Francisco to introduce A.P. Giannini students to the wonders of solar. A.P. Giannini students will have an opportunity to participate in solar activities such as making solar cookies, personalized sun prints/solar bracelets, and more! They will also receive student to student instruction on sun safety and how to use the PG&E Solar Schools online data monitoring system. PG&E Mobile Customer Education Center (Bus) will bring their mobile classroom to the site. Solar experts and partners of PG&E from Solar Schools program, NEED, FEE and SolarCity will be in attendance to support the solar learning. 9
