Overview
Bryant Elementary School's Beliefs and Values
We believe that
--
- All students can learn.
Effective teaching takes into account that students learn
in different ways and at varying rates.
- School should consistently
provide a safe and positive environment for students,
families, and staff.
- Learning should be
multi-cultural and multi-dimensional, engaging, and
geared to promote creativity.
- It is important for
children from diverse backgrounds to learn to respect and
cooperate with one another. The school environment should
foster a positive sense of community.
- Schools should provide
students with basic skills they will need to become
self-motivated lifelong learners.
- Schools should help
students learn how to take charge of their own lives and
to make choices.
- Schools should empower
students by developing their awareness of their unique
strengths and capabilities, as well as their identity and
sense of belonging within their communities.
The School community regularly
self-assesses and reflects upon its progress in all areas
(instruction, organization, governance, and accountability)
for the purpose of continuous improvement.
