Technology Building Blocks Bryant Elementary School, A Pacific Bell Education First Demonstration Site Instructors: Kendall Jenkins Norton + GuadeLupe Guerrero Grade Level: 4-5 Subject: Language Arts/ Social Studies/Math Technology: Internet, E-mail In October, 1996, Kendall Jenkins Norton and Guadelupe Guerrero received a grant from Linking San Francisco to involve their students in a service learning project of mapping community resources. Students in their classes are contacting community agencies by email or in person, interviewing representatives, and compiling information, They have begun to develop a large scale map of resources in the community, and will be creating a resource book for parents, staff, students, and community members. An electronic version will be posted on the Web and linked to the Bryant School Homepage. "I'm amazed by the interest of the students in doing their research.
