Ms. Ardell is a teacher at Francisco Middle School. She teaches sixth grade Social Studies and Math. She also teaches a Debate class as an elective. Ms. Ardell is a great teacher. She's fair, and she's very nice. She has high expectations and believes every student can do well.
In her classes, she is very organized and so is her class. If you are in her classes, you should be relatively silent, because she does not tolerate loud students. Everyone participates. After teaching you what you need to know very well, she will always, or almost always, give you homework. Sometimes though she doesn't give out homework.
Math with Ms. Ardell is a very organized class. You would be learning pre-algebra. I seem to remember coming in to do the Do Now everyday unless there is a test. Then we correct the Do Now. "Take out your homework from last night; pass it to the (left, or right, or the person across from you). After correcting, Ms. Ardell usually has something to teach you, and if there is someone else you need to do on homework, she will tell you it. Then the rest of the class time is quiet. She will be correcting assignments and will be available if you need help.
In her Social Studies class, you learn about many things, starting with the earliest humans. Then you would be taught about the geographies thousands of years during B.C. you learn about things like fertile land, rivers, and how Africa was a savanna many thousands of years ago, before it is what it is now, which is a desert. You move on to India and other lands. At the end the year, you start learning about Romans.
In the debate class, you will be picking topics and sides. Then you will be researching them and giving facts to support your side. There are usually several different topics. It's mostly self-explanatory.
Ms. Ardell is a very nice teacher, and to do well in her classes, just don't make too much noise or talk to other students when you're not supposed to, and study hard. She regularly gives out tests. She is a very good teacher!
