Technology Program

The purpose of the technology program is;

• to address the SFUSD core programs standards and expand the breadth of students' learning experiences,
• support the goals of the Francisco Site Plan,
• provide model lessons for technology integration,
• provide opportunities for members of the Francisco community to build technology skills,
• provide the staff with technical resources and support so that teachers will use technology in their work and with their students.

Fundraising Drive

Dear Parents, Guardians, and community members,

This year students will have the opportunity to improve their skills in computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and creating presentations. They will also have the opportunity to design web pages for an on-line newspaper, and learn how to safely use the internet for research and communication.

We have invested a lot of time and resources into building our technology program. We are asking you for a $20 contribution to help maintain the program this year. Specifically, your contribution will be used for minor repairs and equipment parts, and will be put toward adding Microsoft Office to the list of programs students use in the lab. It is our hope that with the commitment shown from family contributions, we can get matching funds from private sources to fully equip our lab with Microsoft Office.

We believe that providing students with experience using current computer technology is an important part of a quality education, and hope that you will show your support by making your contribution.
