Writing
your first draft will help you get started and allow you the freedom to change
and polish your essay as you approach the due date for the final

Your
research paper has 3 parts:
introduction, body, and conclusion.
I.
Introduction
Your
introduction should state your thesis clearly and entice the reader to continue
reading. The introduction should briefly describe the purpose of your
project and the methods that you used to do your research.
II.
Body
The
body is the largest portion of your paper. It includes the data/research analysis. .
Each paragraph should include a topic sentence, supporting statements with 3
specific examples, and a concluding sentence. Use your outline to help
you organize the order of the paragraphs. You should make sure that the
paragraphs flow logically.
III.
Conclusion
The
conclusion should restate your thesis. The conclusion should state something
more than what was said in the introduction and show if you have proved or
disproved your thesis. The conclusion should be at least one long paragraph
and may include your advice or opinion,
propose a solution, and/or explain the particular results of your
experiment/research.
***The
last page of your project is the BIBLIOGRAPHY. REMEMBER:
Research papers must have 10 to 15 pages of text, not including the cover page,
graphs or photos/pictures, or the bibliography.
