PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

q     Each group member must participate.

q       Check outside room 211 for your presentation time and room number.

q       PowerPoint presentation is optional. If you choose to do a PowerPoint presentation, here are some guidelines:

q       Your Senior Research Project must have 10 to 15 pages of text, not including the cover page, graphs or photos/pictures, or bibliography.

q       “Rule of Seven”: ”Seven (7) bullets or lines per page, seven (7) words per line.” From New Yorker Magazine, May 28, 2001

q       Do not reproduce the bulk of your written paper in PowerPoint.  Summarize the KEY POINTS, using bullets.

q       Presentation should be professional, i.e., presentation colors should be readable, no dark backgrounds and no light colored letters. Inappropriate sounds that detract from your presentation will affect your final score.

q       Do not read from the PowerPoint screen or from your written project. Prepare note cards or an outline as speaking guides.
