Where is the school library?
On the third floor, click here for the third
floor map.

Where is the Van Ness Gym?
The Van Ness Gym, otherwise known as the Boys'
Gym is located across the street from the Bay street entrance of the main
building. It's on the block between Bay street and North Point street.

Where is the Girls' Gym, auditorium, main office,
attendance office, and counseling office?
The Girls' Gym, auditorium, main office, attendance
office, and counseling office are located on the second floor. Click here
for the second floor map.

How do I get to the Football Field?
There are two possible ways to the Football field.
One, either walk the street from the main building to the gym annex (Van
Ness Street) and next to it is the football field. Second way, first locate
the Lion's League. Next to the Lion's League is a tunnel/stairway, follow
the stairway through our second courtyard and you're there.

Where's the cafeteria?
Go down the stairs in front of Room 206 and turn
right, you will find the cafeteria.

Where are the entrances of the school building?
There are five possible entrances. For those
who take the 19 bus, the bus will bring you to the side entrance of the
school. For those to take the 49 & 47 bus towards the aquatic park
direction, you could get off at the stop at the Francisco street stop.
That stop is located at the bottom of the hill of the school. A short distance
of walking will lead you to the main entracne of Galileo. For those who
take the 30 bus, there's three possible consecutive stops. The first stop
is located right across our beloved football field. The second stop is
the aquatic park stop, the same stop which the 49 and 47 bus can be caught.
As for the third and final stop for the 30 bus line for going to school
is two blocks from the aquatic park block.

Where to get lunch sticker?
In room 206, see Ms. Lau. If your family is within
the low-income category, you will be able to get a free lunch sticker.
You also need to show your ID card, and the sticker goes on your ID.

Where do I go to get a locker or to solve locker
problems?
When locker is needed or locker problems occur,
go to the central corridor of the second floor, Rm 206, walk in and ask
for a woman named Joni. She's in charge of the lockers. If you want to
register for a locker, you should have your ideal locker number written
down for Joni and prepare $5 for deposit. The money will be returned at
the end of the semester when you return the lock to Joni.

Click on "Galileo Intro" in the menu, under the
submenu click on "Administrators", you will find a list of names. Or you

What does ASB stand for? Or other information about
ASB?
Click on "Departments" in the menu, under the
submenu click on "ASB" , you will find a link called "Student Government
Officers." Or you can click here to
go there directly.
School work and college:

Information about SAT(s) registration? Want a fee
waiver?
You can go to www.collegeboard.com
to register online. Go to room 259, and see Tuan for help with fee waivers.

Need help with homework (ESL, Math, Science) after
school?
Go to room 256, see Ms.Eisen.

What is SRP?
SRP stands for Senior Research Project. It is
one of Galileo graduation requirements along with the other course units
requirements. Click here

How to get out of campus during lunch?
You have to get the grade point average of 3.5
or over to leave campus during lunch time. Show your report card in the
main office and get a sticker to put on your ID.
