
The English Plus Chinese Program is designed to develop language fluency and literacy in both English and Chinese through a standards-driven curriculum. These are the unique characteristics of our program:
IIn 1994, our staff participated in the Optimal Learning Environment training (OLE). This conference inspired us to see teaching as a cycle in which teachers learn, implement, evaluate, reflect, and refine teaching practices. Through our many discussions, the program has identified specific characteristics which promote active learning:
