Mrs. Judith Rosen, Principal
The faculty and staff of Jefferson school is committed to providing the best possible learning environment for each child. Our goal is to educate the whole child. We recognize that children learn in different ways and we offer a variety of teaching strategies to ensure learning for all students. We have high expectations and encourage each learner to reach his or her highest potential. We will encourage and support our children in order that they may become responsible citizens both academically and socially. We will continue to build and maintain an ongoing partnership with parents. Jefferson School has a culturally diverse student body. We provide a comprehensive curriculum that stresses academic excellence for our multi-ethnic student population. A special feature is our arts education program which provides students the chance to explore many areas of the visual and performing arts guided by professional artists and assisted by the classroom teacher. Jefferson School is most fortunate to be the recipient of many grants. We have received a large Math Grant from Exxon Corporation to extend our math program in carrying out the California Math Framework. With an outstanding teaching staff, wonderful children and terrific parents, we think Jefferson is truly a fine school.
