Once upon a time a class was going on a camping trip and when we got there Vanettra and Dominique were happy and Marguerite and Feida and Dexter and Jonathan and I like to play so Mr. Tang lets us play. Ms. Krissy came and said, "Tunisia, Marguerite and Vanettra come help me with the fire." Then when we set up the fire, it was playing with us. It was turning around and blowing smoke in our faces. And Ms. Krissy wanted us to stand back from the fire. Soon, Mr. Tang and the other kids came to the fire too. We told stories about this boy named Jack who worked on a farm and had butter melting on his head. We sang some songs around the fire and roasted marshmallows and made s’mores. I really like s’mores.

The next day, we went to the beach and played games with the naturalists. I had to go home early because I had the chicken pox. Ms. Krissy had to take me to the school and my grandma said for somebody to bring me home. And Ms. Rosalinda brought me home. I went to sleep.

I hope the class will go back to Fort Funston with me!

The class went on a trip to Fort Funston, but I didn’t go with them. They played games and went to the beach and had a campfire. They went to bed after dark and slept inside because it was raining. They were going to sleep in tents outside. They played this game, Fishy Fishy and this other game Predator-Prey. I don’t know how to play Fishy Fishy but I know they think it’s fun, I’m going to learn too.

While my class was at Fort Funston, I stayed in the house and played with my sister, Marshae. We played hide-and-go-seek and ran around the house. I had fun. Sometime, maybe next year I want to go with the class to Fort Funston. They did a lot of stuff and they had snacks and roasted marshmallows on sticks at the campfire. One time when we went camping before, we had graham crackers and we melted the marshmallows and put chocolate on them like a sandwich and ate them. I liked them, there’re delicious!

It smells salty and fresh. It was fishy. It started to smell good. Then it was time to go in. I had fun on the night hike. We saw Pat on the hike. He looked like a big spy, strong spy. Pat was a big strong huge spy. Marguerite and Dexter laughed so long and she cried a lot. Dexter started jumping on the battery. I like when Lee made him look like a chief and little like Eugenio. Dexer had fun jumping down the battery. He jumped so much he almost fell down the hill. The hill was a hiking place. I had fun on the battery. I had fun at the hill. It was as funny because Nermin said, "Look at the dog’s tail!" The dog didn’t have a tail. Nermin was petting his pretend tail. I laughed a lot!

We had fun at the beach. We made a sea-saw out of wood and sand. We buried people and we made a house out of sand. Then Lee made an alligator out of sand, it was really cool! Then the dogs started to chase us, he ran up the hill and down. We also saw a boat in the ocean.

I want to go back to Fort Funston to pet the chinchilla and the snakes!

We were eating lunch at Fort Funston and one of the classmates fell into the lunch bag! He was shrunk to the size of a animal cracker! He yelled for help but nobody came to help him. So he remembered there was a hole in the lunch bag. He found it and it was too small so he took the spoon and made the hole bigger. Then he went out and he started finishing his lunch. And I said, "Where were you?"

He replied, "In the building."

Then I finished lunch and played ball with him. Two dogs came, one dog wouldn’t let us play fetch with him. So we petted the other dog.

I liked when we made a sandcastle at the beach. And then we dug too far to make a door and then the sandcastle fell in.

I liked the trip to Fort Funston. I hope we can go again next year!

We got on a yellow school bus with a nice driver and went to Fort Funston. When we got there we played. We played Predator-Prey outside by the water. One team hides and one team counts then they try and find other team. They says "whoo" the other team says, "eeck, eeck." I like this game cause everybody keeps running around and we are trying to find people.

I had fun putting the tents up cause, the tent wasn’t working right for me and my partners, Jocquar and Patrick. We had to hammer in and use foot power on the stakes. The tents were US Army tents. They were sort of green and brown. It started raining so we didn’t sleep in the tents.

At the campfire, Marguerite got some ash in her eye. I burned my marshmallow and ate it. It was yokie.

I want to go back to Fort Funston to play!

On the camping trip the Killer Whale group is looking at the green grass on the ground. The group is looking like they are going to fall off the bridge. They look like they are on top of the world! The Killer Whale group is looking at the beautiful ocean. The group is on the big bridge, it is brown. The ocean is very white and very blue. The wind is blowing so much their hair is sticking up on their heads! Katrina looks like she is going to fall off the top of the world. The sky is white outside, it’s very nice and it’s very big. It is beautiful.

I will never forget when my class when to Fort Funston! I had so much fun that I hope my class will go every year!

Mr. Tang was cheese of love. Marcus was cheese of friends. Nermin was sleeping like a bug. Dexter was happy at camp. We ate pizza. We were watching the puppet show. Jon liked the puppet show. Marcus was looking at the puppet show. Jon was happy at the puppet show. Me and Jon and Marcus love going camping. We play football. Dexter was looking at the puppet show. Mr. Tang played football with the kids. We want to go on another outdoor camping trip.

Mr. tang is thinking of eating a big cheesy sandwich because he is day dreaming. Now since he is thinking of eating a sandwich like that, a magic lamp flew on his head and he wishes for a big grilled cheesy sandwich and he got it. Then he wished for more food. Then he wished the kids would work together and it came true. Then the bus came then they went back to school then Mr. Tang ate one more thing. Then he got fat. Then he ate three more pretzels and he blew up and he was skinny again. But before it was over Marguerite and Vanettra said, "Cool."

We were in the touching room for a puppet show. When the show first started the shoe fell down on the floor and Dominique picked it up and handed it to the ladybug. When Dominique handed it to the ladybug, we all started laughing! Euginio started laughing so much that the whole class started laughing again!

On my hike we saw a gray and white rabbit. It was really nice and pretty. Then we saw the rabbit laughing. Then when we were playing Predator-Prey we saw these hyper dogs running around. They were so hyper that they came and jumped on Ms. Sidney and my whole group. And when we finished playing Predator-Prey we walked further along and made water cycle bracelets with beads.

I had so much fun at Fort Funston, I hope we can go back every year! I love Fort Funston!!

First when we got there we sat in the circle, then we talked about the animals afterwards we touched the animals. In this picture we are building houses and gardens out of sand. Feida made a beautiful house. Ms. Kris’ house is big. I made a nice house. We had a lot of fun.

After we ate lunch the bus came. We packed our stuff and left. I said, "We will see you next year."

Back at school, we watched Mulan and it was good. Mr. Tang gave us treats and

we went home. I went home and relaxed for awhile then I started to do my chores. After cleaning the bathroom and camping out at Fort Funston, I was very tired so I watched TV.

One day Leonard and his dad, Patrick, went to Funcoland. Leonard took a big and old sandwich out of his pocket, I mean an old sandwich, a very old sandwich. Then his dad said, "Get that old sandwich out of your mouth!"

"But Dad!"

"No buts!" said Dad, "Be quite and take that out of your mouth." So Leonard did.

"Dad, I want to go play on that Nitendo 64, then I want to go play that Playstation and . . .and . . .then I want to play on that Saga!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, then I’ll buy you the whole Funcoland."

"Oh boy!

"Let’s go home."

"But, but, you said you’re going to buy me the whole Funcoland!"

"I was just joking, Gosh! Let’s go home."

When they were on the freeway, Leonard jumped out of the car, smashed into another car and rolled all the way to Pay-less Shore Store. And that was the end of the Patrick and Leonard story!

This is a picture of me with Dexter. We were putting up the tent. We went to Fort Funston with our class. When we were finished eating we put up the tent.

The tents are old army green tents. Then we put the blue shag carpet. Next we put the bucket inside the tent. We could smell sunflowers. We touched ice planes. We could hear the woosh of the hang gliders.

We played Preditor-Prey, Leonard, Vanettra, Patrick, Maggie, Katirna, and I were found by the trees. Next Patrick found a rabbit, we followed the rabbit after we went up to the battery. We didn’t catch it because it moved to fast.

The next day we went to the beach. We made tunnels under the sand. It was hard to make the tunnels because the sand would fall into the holes. Lee made an alligator. We played this game, Fishy Fishy. I liked it. The kids tried to go though the people who tried to get them and if you got caught you had to stop and try and get the other people.

I hope that we go to Fort Funston in 4^th grade!

We put our stuff in the building at Fort Funston by all the dead animals that were on the shelves. We put up the tents and then we ate lunch. The tents were fun, they were green and we had to hammer in the stakes. We had to hold the stakes of the tent up so our partners could put the other stakes in the ground.

Then we played catch. Dexter threw the ball over on the roof, it went on the other side. Then Mr. Chin and Ms. Wells and Mr. Hartford came and told stories and roasted marshmallows with us.

We went to the beach. We played this game with clouds and a sun and we had to run around and hook the clouds together. Then we went back and held the animals. We got to hold a snake and this little hairy thing. The bus came too soon.

Fort Funston is very fun. I want to go there again and camp out. We saw hang gliders in the air. Someday I want to do that too.

When we woke up we brushed our teeth, then and put our clothes on. Then we did our ritual in the morning. When we finished we sat on the rug. When the naturalists came they told us how to behave on the beach. After we came to the beach, one of the naturalists told us to stay in a square. Some of the kids helped Lee build a castle. And the other kids made a tunnel and that was really fun. After Lee made the alligator we all made lots of holes and tunnels.

Later we did challenges with the teachers it was fun and exciting. When we played a game called "Fishy-Fishy Come Swim in My Sea" this is my favorite. That gave was really fun. When we came back from the beach we packed up our stuff and got on the bus to go back to school.

I had so much fun camping I hope we go back to Fort Funston next year.

When we were at the beach me and Jon and Lee were working together building stuff. Fort Funston beach is nice with nice green grass and ice plants. It was very nice sand because we were able to build a whole city. Me, Lee, Jonathan and Katrina built a castle. Lee built an alligator.

We played some fun games. Fishy Fishy Come Eat me was this game where you had to run from the shark. If you got caught you had to stay still.

I had fun at Fort Funston. My favorite thing was going to the beach and building the city out of sand. I really had a great time.

Katrina is standing and holding a water bottle. She built a sandcastle and she has her red binoculars. She was playing in the sad and she was looking at the sea. Katrina is taking a walk down the beach and the wind is blowing in her face. When they all walked back, Katrina’s mom played the piano.

The whole class had such a fun time at Fort Funston, I hope that we will go again next year!

When we were going to the beach we got to dig a hole in the sand. We were making holes and tunnels in the big sand. Lee made an alligator. The other kids made a cool castle. After we were making a mermaid. We were one of the mermaids. We put legs on Katrina’s mermaid. And guess how many legs? Seven! After I was a mermaid. I came out like a monster. It was really funny. We ran down the hill. We played Fishy Fishy in the Sea. I tried to run as fast as I could but I kept getting caught. I couldn’t catch anybody else. Everybody wanted to be a shark, even I did. Then when it was time to go back, we ate lunch. I ate five sandwiches and we went back to school.

I great time over at Fort Funston. I want to go back with my class next year.

I love the beach. These are the names of my friends, Eugenio, Leonard, Vanettra, Jacquar and Nermin. This is a picture of my friends. I hope I get to come again to Fort Funston.

I like Fort Funston. It smells like ice plants and I learned that oil is cured to the water. Lee taught me that ice plants are for persons that are dying for thirst. I learned a lot for Lee.

I had a really great time and I think that all the naturalists are really nice and I’m glad that they are all there.

I like Fort Funston because they taught us a lot of stuff. One Naturalist made us some tea out of this branch and we had to break it into little pieces and she gave us some peanuts to eat with it. When I was about to step on poison ivy, she told me not to step on that. We built houses on the beach with the Fort Funston ladies. We made a big circle so they can’t step on it. It was fun. I was scared because we slept next to these animals that were dead. When I woke up in the night it was staring at me.
