Goal: Research some characteristics of older adults

Objective: To gain a better understanding of what life is like for senior citizens and what things can make life more enjoyable.

Activities:

1. Classroom discussion about growing older

2. Talk with elders in the home, community, etc.

3. Brainstorm in "Community Circle" time what our class can do to help brighten up the lives of senior citizens in area senior homes

Assessment:

1. Participation of individual students in discussions

2. Responses from students

3. The number of suggestions offered.
