John Swett Alternative School is an open enrollment site within the San Francisco Unified School District. Parents and/or Guardians apply for their child to attend the school, and are admitted on a space available basis within the framework of maintaining a diverse ethnic/cultural student population.

We are a visual and performing arts alternative community. As part of the Hill's Project, all upper grade students undertake formal music lessons two days a week, and participate in schoolwide and community performances. Lower grade students are involved with ongoing visual art instruction.
