This year John Swett Alternative School is participating in the Interactive University Project with the University of California at Berkeley. Our third grade teachers with the support of the school's technology staff will be integrating the Internet with classroom curriculum projects focusing on student family histories. Images from the California Heritage Digital Image Access Project will be downloaded and used as primary source materials integrated into the student's HyperStudio projects. Students will relate their work to the history of the San Francisco Bay Area. Stay tuned to Weaving the Web for student and staff work.
The work of the project is supplemented with several special endeavors: staff training by Zeum (Yerba Buena Art Center), and the Claris Home Page Project supported by Apple.
