Drapery

The "Drapery" assignment comes after the Shapes in Space assignment. A figure was placed in the center of the room and had a white cloth draped over it. Students were asked to reproduce their view of the drapery on paper. This assignment stressed the importance of values and again, how the light hit the object. This purpose of the assignment was to familiarize students with the folds most commonly found on clothing and drapery.
