Six Resource Centers,
including the Library are located on the Lowell campus to provide opportunities
for students to reinforce academic concepts gained in classrooms. Exact
hours of operations are posted at each center.
Three centers,
English (Room 211), Social Studies (Room 234), and Math/Science (Room 261),
were established as part of the Ninth Grade Support Program which began
during the 1996-97 school year. Each of the new centers contains resource
materials and computers for student use. The centers are manned by
paraprofessionals and are open throughout the day.
Under the Support
Program all ninth graders are required to attend the Resource Centers for
forty minutes per day during the first six weeks of school. Thereafter,
students receiving a C-, D or F grade on their report card will be required
to continue attending the Resource Centers for the next report card period.
