| Admissions Overview |
Since 1966, Lowell High School has had a merit-based admissions policy. Admission is selective and competitive, based on Stanford Achievement Test (9th Edition) scores, grades achieved in academic subjects in middle school (2nd semester of 7th grade and 1st semester of 8th grade), and many other factors, including socio-economic status (SES), extracurricular/leadership activities, community service, athletics, ability to overcome hardship, and extenuating circumstances. The application will be available sometime in November 2002 (must be returned in person to your 8th grade middle school counselor or to the Educational Placement Center). THE APPLICATION CANNOT BE MAILED.
For questions about the Lowell admissions process, contact the Educational Placement Center at 241-6066.
