Student Activities Card
All Lowell students are urged to purchase a Student Activities Card for $6 at the beginning of each year. Money collected is used to support class activities, The Lowell student newspaper, and various school clubs. Purchasers receive The Lowell free of charge and are given discounts on class activities and SAB (Student Activities Board) sponsored dances. Those seniors who have bought Student Activities Cards for all four years are entitled to terrific reductions on senior class functions (e.g., the Senior Prom).
Class Advisors
Each fall the entering freshman class has one or two faculty advisors assigned to it. They remain with the class throughout its four years at Lowell.
Dances
General school dances are sponsored by the Student Activities Board. The Cardinal Carnival in the spring is the year's most popular student body dance and is combined with a carnival in the courtyard where school clubs build booths for fundraising activities. The Proms and Exclusives are sponsored by the various classes. See the dance policy for regulations.
Clubs and Societies
An important part of the co-curricular program is the wide variety of special interest clubs, service groups, and honor societies sponsored by the Lowell faculty. Most of them meet weekly after-school. A list of the club sponsors is finalized after the fall semester begins and is available in the Main Office.
