THE ALGEBRA PROJECT "The Algebra Project aims to provide all students with the conceptual understanding of mathematics that will enable them to complete the high school math sequence required for college entrance."... "Many sites are set up in both urban and rural areas to work especially with African American and Hispanic American communities that are traditionally underserved. "

 

"During the past nine years, the San Francisco office has supported the inner - city Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Middle School with academic tutors, a mentor program, field trips to the courts, and community arts and environmental field trips."

Media Literacy Workshops

MESA-Mathematic, Engineering and Science Achievement

 

FAPA (Filipino American Parent Association)-a parent support group

 

FLU(Familias Latinas Unidas)- a group of Spanish speaking parents who meet once a month to:

1) Receive information in Spanish about the school; its activities, events, policies, procedures and programs

2) Raise their voices in praise or criticism

3) Ask questions

4) Plan the "re-taking" of California

The primary function of the FLU is to provide Primary Language interaction for Spanish speaking parents.
