Room L206

Poem by Jesus Alvarez

When I'm by myself

and I close my eyes

I'm a fast and free car

I'm a musical guitar

I'm a flying ghost

I'm peanut butter toast

I'm a dinosaur eating ham

I'm a tiger looking for yam

I'm a twin playing with my twin.

I'm fast wind.

And when I open my eyes

What I care to be

Is me.

Poem by Adan Ledesma

When I'm by myself

and I close my eyes

I'm a flying carpet

I'm a carpet that is wet

I'm an ice bird.

I'm a bird that flies through the world

I'm a school in the sky

I'm a man that wants to fly

I'm a ghost that eats toast

I'm a ghost that eats the most

I'm a stone that talks a lot on the phone

I'm a phone that is stone

I'm a human that can stay under the water for 30 hours.

I'm a beautiful flower.

And when I open my eyes

What I care to be

Is me.
