Beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss said, “You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.” In that spirit, Sunset Elementary School will celebrate National Read Aloud Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday by inviting community members to read to students. This annual event continues a tradition that brings City dignitaries together to honor the love of reading. National Read Aloud Day will include Superintendent Dr. Vincent Matthews, SFUSD administrators, San Francisco Police Chief William Scott, Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White, and others.
