At the event, students will draft an Ecological & Climate Change Resolution calling on the community to take action to protect the environment. Grattan will also receive its award for participating in the SFUSD Sustainability Earth Day Every Day challenge, and Supervisor Vallie Brown will speak to students about the importance of protecting the environment.

The end-of-year event will include science stations where students can explore skulls and fossils, use microscopes to make art, explore their sense of smell and vision, and play other science-based games. Students will also participate in engineering and technology-based activities such as programming robots, building with KEVA planks, and building electric circuits. Student artwork will also be on display. The purpose of the event is to highlight the school’s science curriculum while engaging families in hands-on science and technology.
