Announcement Description

We’d like to announce a special opportunity for San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) Samoan/Pacific Islander students!   

Juniors and Seniors enrolled at any SFUSD high school can enroll into Critical Pacific Islands & Oceania Studies courses this Fall 2020 (remote/online/asynchronously):  

**IDST 45: Pacific Islanders in the U.S. | 3 Units | 5 HS Electives | Social Science 

**IDST 46: Oceania & the Arts | 3 Units | 5 HS Electives | Humanities 

These courses are UC/CSU Transferable and meet the requirements for the Certificate and Associates of Arts degree in Critical Pacific Islands & Oceania Studies.

SFUSD Students will receive: 

*10 High School Elective Credits

*6 CCSF Units applied towards the certificate and AA degree in Pacific Studies

*College Experience

*A paid stipend (internship)

*Links to resources offered by each of our partnering community-based organizations.
