Kitchen Reopenings in March at Thurgood Marshall High School and A.P. Giannini Middle School

Thanks to recent construction and upgraded kitchen equipment, Thurgood Marshall and A.P. Giannini will return to serving in-house freshly prepared meals this March. It’s called Refresh! The Refresh menu highlights fresh, local and sustainable ingredients and is freshly prepared by skilled dining staff right at the school! All meals - breakfast, lunch and afterschool supper - will be from the Refresh menu and served at no cost to students.

  • March 1st - Thurgood Marshall kitchen reopening.
  • Mid to late March - A.P. Giannini kitchen reopening.

As facilities are upgraded to prepare and serve fresh food, our procurement practices can improve as well. We can purchase high-quality food and ingredients in alignment with the Good Food Purchasing Program, allowing us to nourish our students with more local and sustainable menu options.
