What is Current Year Enrollment?

Current Year Enrollment is the way for new students who are not currently enrolled for 2023-24 to find a school in SFUSD during the school year. We’re glad you’re considering SFUSD, and we look forward to welcoming your family to our schools!

How does Current Year Enrollment work?

Current Year Enrollment is for students who are not currently enrolled in SFUSD, and works on a first-come, first-served basis for immediate assignment to a school that has openings. An Enrollment Center counselor will be able to tell you which schools are available for your child, and will work with you to enroll your child in an SFUSD school.

How to apply

Families who wish to enroll in an open school can call or visit the Enrollment Center office at 555 Franklin Street, Room 100 or our Enrollment Center Southeast office at 1520 Oakdale Avenue, Room 13. Our telephone number is (415) 241-6085 and our open hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The Southeast office is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

If you have not applied during the previous rounds (Main Round, Round 2, Wait Pool), complete the SFUSD online application or the paper TK-13 General Application and include all required documents.
