Donate to Student Nutrition Services
It’s hard to learn when you’re hungry, which is why we provide the same meal options to all students, regardless of their ability to pay. All conversations about payment are done privately with adults, never with the student. In 2009, the SFUSD Board of Education passed the “Feed Every Hungry Child” resolution, formalizing our commitment to ensure students are not denied school meals despite any inability to pay. This ensures that all students have access to fresh, healthy meals. Unpaid meal balances ($296,216.43 for the 2018-19 school year) are deducted from the District’s general fund contribution for Student Nutrition Services.
We welcome support from the entire community to help fund our vision for school meals.
