McAteer High School Access

Enter only via the O'Shaughnessy Boulevard side. Exit only via the Portola Drive side. 

Rideshare and Family Drop Off and Pick Up

Use the O'Shaughnessy Boulevard entrance.

Event Parking

  • Lot A: free, 75 spots
  • Lot B: free, 50 spots
  • Lot C: free, 50 spots

ADA Parking

Lower track lot (10 spaces, access via O'Shaughnessy Boulevard).

Ticketed Event

Each student is allowed to bring up to four guests. Guests must be from the same household and sit in their pre-assigned seat locations during the ceremony. Pods of four will be six feet apart from all other attendees.

Restrooms and Hand-Washing Stations

Portable toilets and hand-washing stations can be found at the southwest side of McAteer Track.

Customer Service

School volunteers and staff members will be positioned outside gate entrances to answer any graduation questions.

Food and Beverage

No food or beverage will be provided or sold during the event.

COVID-19 Awareness

If you feel sick, ill, or have fever symptoms, please stay home. We ask you to not gather in large groups or congregate before, during, or after the ceremony. Please wear a mask at all times and physically distance when appropriate.

Exiting McAteer High School Track

Please exit the stadium in a quick and safe manner. Due to the complexity mandated by the State of California and considerations for all other SFUSD graduation ceremonies, the event staff team will need to clean and sanitize the entire venue prior to each ceremony.

Parking Control Officers (PCOs)

  • Tuesday, June 1: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 2: 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 3: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.


  • Post 1: Glenview/Portola (exit)
    One PCO will assist vehicles exiting the school to make a right turn on to Portola. Note: There is no traffic light facing the exit of the school.
  • Post 2: Entrance of School of the Arts (entrance, across from 100 O'Shaughnessy Boulevard)
    1-2 PCOs will assist with vehicles entering the school.
