Tamitrice Rice-Mitchell
Since 2016, Tamitrice Rice Mitchell has served in LEAD, Leadership, Equity, Achievement, and Design as both a Director and currently Assistant Superintendent of Cohort 3. In her role, she works with a team of school leaders to provide support to our elementary school leaders. Ms. Rice Mitchell came to SFUSD in 1986 as a teacher at Rosa Parks, formerly known as Raphael Weill ES. She has served as a teacher, instructional strategist, principal, and Director in SFUSD. In her career, she has approached her work with a strong equity lens and passionately believes all students deserve the right to a high-quality education.
She oversees elementary schools and Cohort 3, which is comprised of the following schools:
