Leading for Equity

For the 2020/2021 academic year, the Leading for Equity Committee (LFEC) has identified seven school sites to provide individualized supports based on their unique needs and site priorities.  

The Leading for Equity Committee is also providing individualized support to San Francisco Unified School District’s Special Education Department, School Psychologist Department, Pathways to Teaching, Physical Education Department, and the Admin Learning Academies. The LFEC is also collaborating with the Enterprise for Youth for student-led equity work. 

As a support resource the Leading for Equity Committee is offering Equity ED-Talks as well as intensive professional development opportunities for the 2020/2021 academic year. The Equity ED-Talks include topics such as Implicit Bias Overview, Using Restorative Practices to build an Anti-Racist School Community, Culturally Responsive Practices (101) (titles may change). More information will be posted soon.

Intensive Equity ED-Talks topics include Utilizing Project-Based Education Models to Empower Students to Solve Problems In Their Community, Empowered Approaches to Teaching & Parenting, Building Classroom Community, Creating and Maintaining A Humanizing Culture, and Racial Equity work through Emergence, Embodiment, & Abolitionist Practice.
