UPDATE: The New-to-SF Enrollment period for the 2022-23 school year has ended.
If you were eligible to apply during New-to-SF Enrollment period but did not do so, you can still apply for an SFUSD school during Open Enrollment.
What is New-to-SF Enrollment?
Families who are new to San Francisco and/or did not apply for an SFUSD school in the Main Round or Round 2 this year may participate in New-to-SF Enrollment. This enrollment period starts on July 5, 2022 and goes through July 15, 2022.
Students who have only submitted a Wait Pool application for the 2022-23 school year are still eligible to participate in New-to-SF enrollment. Inter-District transfers are not able to enroll during the New-to-SF enrollment period, but are eligible to enroll during the Open Enrollment period with an Inter-District permit beginning July 18.
How do I enroll?
New-to-SF Enrollment works on a first-come, first-served basis for immediate assignment to a school that has available seats and no Wait Pool requests. Families can enroll in-person at the Educational Placement Center (EPC) office at 555 Franklin Street starting July 5, 2022 at 8 am or by calling (415) 241-6085. The EPC will have extended operating hours on July 5 and July 6 and open from 8am to 5:30 pm. After July 6, you can reach the EPC at our normal business hours from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
