Personnel & Labor

SFUSD is working with labor partners to prepare for a safe return to in-person learning. This work includes:

  • Exchanging proposals with our labor partners.
  • Negotiating and agreeing to terms for safety, distance, and hybrid learning models.
  • Verifying and monitoring execution of existing MOU agreements.

Personnel & Labor

SFUSD has 19 bargaining units representing over 96% of the District’s employees. As the District develops plans for all students to return to in-person learning, we are meeting with our labor partners to discuss how these plans affect personnel policies, practices, or working conditions for our employees. We have been at the bargaining table for the past several months to discuss each phase of the return to in-person learning as it is developed.  We must complete these negotiations before returning students to the classroom.
