This semester we will examine problems you may have experienced in school, why you experienced them, and ways we can ensure that those injustices don't happen in the future.

This semester will focus on nutrition, understanding what makes a "healthy person," and how individuals and society can improve health care in America.

MADE (Making, Advertising, and Designing for Empowerment)
Military Might/Fright: Examining the US Military Industrial Complex
We will explore the ways the U.S. has used its military to imperialize developing nations, and we will use graphic design to create block prints, stickers, vinyls and pins relating to the theme.

MARS (Music and Academics Resisting the System)
Power by Design: Inequity and Incarceration
We will analyze systems of power, who has power, and why. We will make connections between power imbalances in the U.S. prison system and the physics of electricity and circuits, examining the ways that both are imbalanced systems of power.

WALC (Wilderness Arts and Literacy Collaborative)
Struggling for Sustainability: Preservation, Restoration and Environmental Justice
We will study the impact of environmental racism on forests, native ecosystems, and urban environments. WALC with us!
