Ms. Erling's Maternity Leave Message

Dear Families,

On February 5th I will be starting my maternity leave. Your English Language Development (ELD) student will have a substitute teacher teaching their class until the end of the school year, June 4th. Below is the contact information for your student’s new ELD teacher. Please feel free to reach out to them with any questions or concerns regarding your student going forward.

Reminders: 

1. Reading: Your student should be reading 4 to 5 days a week for 30 minutes. Please have them check out books from their ELD teacher or from the public library. They should have a book in their backpack at all times. 
2. ELPAC Exam: Your student will take the English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC) exam between March 11th and March 22nd.
3. ParentVue: Please check ParentVue regularly to keep track of how your student is doing in their classes. Contact the main office (415-330-1500) if you need support with this.

Su hijo/a  actualmente en la clase de Desarrollo del Idioma Inglés (ELD) tendrá un maestro sustituto hasta el final del año escolar, el día 4 de junio. A continuación se muestra la información de contacto del nuevo maestro de ELD de su hijo/a. No dude en comunicarse con ellos si tiene alguna pregunta o inquietud sobre su hijo/a en el futuro.

Recordatorios:

1. Lectura: Su hijo/a debe leer de 4 a 5 días a la semana durante 30 minutos. Pídales que saquen libros de su maestro de ELD o de la biblioteca pública. Deberán tener un libro en su mochila en todo momento.

2. Examen ELPAC: Su hijo/a tomará el examen de Evaluación del Dominio del Idioma Inglés para el Estado California (ELPAC) entre los días 11 y el 22 de marzo.
