Deaf and Hard of Hearing SDC 3-5

Hello Lafayette community!

My name is Megan Lenahan and I teach the 3rd-5th grade Auditory/Oral Deaf/Hard of Hearing class.  I have been fortunate to be part of Lafayette since 2019.  Prior to teaching here I was a special education para at Presidio Early Education School, Rosa Parks Elementary and in Long Beach Unified School District.  I’ve also spent a year living in Seoul, South Korea teaching English as a lead kindergarten and advanced studies teacher.  

I’m originally from Long Beach, CA but have called San Francisco home since 2011.  I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design from the Art Institute of CA- Los Angeles and am currently completing my Masters in Special Education with an emphasis in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education at Minot University.
