New Transcript Request Process

5/4/20

There is a new process this year to request senior final transcripts due to the shelter in place. The district will be sending all senior final transcripts requests electronically through Parchment. All seniors needing final transcripts to be sent to colleges/universities must make a transcript request via the links on the SFUSD transcript office website.

Senior Final Transcript Request- Information was sent to all seniors sfusd email accounts on how to request final transcripts. Students can also go to the district Transcript Office Website at sfusd.edu/records for more information and the links to Parchment to request a transcript.

  • School sites will receive a report of students that have made final transcript requests on Friday May 15th. Site counselors can follow up with students who have not requested transcripts.

  • Student notification and process

    • Students receive an email to their SFUSD email accounts on May 5 informing them of the process to request final transcripts.

    • Students receive email from Parchment on May 6 with their access code to create an account with Parchment.

    • An autodialer will be sent to all 12th graders on May 8 to inform students and parents of the process to request final transcripts.

    • Seniors can request up to 4 transcripts to be sent electronically to colleges and universities for free up to June 30th.

      • If there is a need for the transcript to be mailed there will be a charge for mailing.

    • After June 30th students can request additional transcripts for a fee of $8 per electronic transcript, as they will be considered alumni.

    • Students will be able to track their transcript request status through Parchment.

    • Student transcript requests will be put “on hold” in Parchment by the district transcript office until final semester grades are posted to transcripts.

    • After final grades are submitted and processed by DoT,  uploaded into Parchment, then the transcript office will start processing all transcript requests in Parchment.

    • Students will receive notification when their transcripts are processed through Parchment.

    • Student handout with instructions on how to register

  • Contact the SFUSD Transcript Office, transcripts@sfusd.edu for any questions regarding final transcript requests for seniors.
