Special Education (SPED) is academic instruction and related services that are required to meet the needs of children who qualify for an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
This section includes information about assessments, raising and resolving issues related to special education, and contact information for the Special Education Services Ombudsperson. Additionally, throughout this handbook is further information related to the rights of special education students.
