
What is the Fa'aSāmoa Initiative?
Fa’aSāmoa Initiative stems from a 2018 HAPI Resolution passed by the SFUSD Board of Education and amended in September 2020 In Support of Equitable Services and Staff for Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Students with a focus on addressing the academic disparities amongst Sāmoan students through a PreK-14 pathway rooted in Sāmoa Aganu'u indigenous practices authored by Vice President Chief Fotuali’i Faauuga Moliga.

Pre-Kindergarten Samoan Dual Language Pathway
August 2021, San Francisco Unified School District launches the first Pre-K Samoan Dual Language Pathway program.
