Environmental Science Center

Jesse Ng

Jesse is a marine biologist and SF native. Prior to joining the Environmental Science Center, Jesse was teaching about marine animals at the Marine Science Institute in San Francisco. As fun as it is to teach about sharks and fish to anyone, he is enthusiastic about focusing his efforts on educating elementary students. Jesse builds excitement among young people for the history of San Francisco and why the wildlife around us is important through experiences with nature at Fort Funston.

Jerry Lam

Jerry is an SFUSD graduate from the Green Academy at ALHS and San Francisco State University with B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Recreation Administration. Since then, he completed a summer-long intensive outdoor educator training with Outdoor Educators Institute. His outdoor leadership experiences include facilitating ropes course programs at Ft. Miley in San Francisco to guiding river and sea kayaking trips for people with all abilities with Environmental Traveling Companions.

Marina Krauss

Marina moved to San Francisco from Los Angeles to study at SFSU, graduating with a BS in Recreation, Parks, and Recreation Administration. Since then, she has developed her love for teaching outdoors by working for the National Park Service as a Environmental Educator at the park's Native Plant Nurseries, then as a garden science instructor for Education Outside at two local SF elementary schools. Marina brings a passion for learning about plants and understanding the biodiversity of our SF environments to her teaching while out on trail. When she is not working at the ESC you can find her gardening, hula hooping, and fire dancing.
