    Opportunities for Parental Involvement

Commodore Sloat parents are actively involved in the school. Parent input takes place on a regular basis through monthly Parent Club Organization (PCO) meetings and monthly School Site Council meetings. Many parents volunteer to work in classrooms, in the library, on science projects, at green-up/clean-up days and at special events. The PCO raises funds for arts enrichment classes, gardening and a physical education program. Parents are kept informed through monthly newsletters and fliers, the weekly Wednesday envelope and the school's website at: www.sloatparentsclub.org.
