Glen Park School community prepares students to succeed in the 21st Century. Our staff is committed to social justice and high achievement for all students. Through equitable access to knowledge and opportunities to learn, engaged students will become joyful, lifelong learners and productive citizens. In our community, everyone's voice is heard. We believe in continuing to nurture a rigorous professional learning community to develop an environment of cultural and social responsibility. We hold high expectations for all staff, students, and parents.
Our teachers provide a solid foundation of skills instruction integrated with thematic teaching. We are determined for all students to progress fully into project-based learning by the end of third grade. Extra-curricular activities are scheduled throughout the school year during and after school. Various arts, fitness and enrichment programs are offered to students through weekly student clusters and the daily After School Learning Club. Instruction is provided by artists-in-residence, community-based organizations, resource teachers, and after school staff. Student Peacekeepers are trained in leadership skills to build self-efficacy and to help students manage their conflicts.
