James Lick Middle School is a comprehensive middle school in the heart of San Francisco’s Noe Valley. Our students enjoy an extensive academic program, with an emphasis in the visual and performing arts, that encourages students to explore and develop their varied talents. JLMS is the proud home of a thriving Spanish Immersion program and a community of dedicated and passionate educators. Students are provided with a variety of experiences outside of the classroom with our two community gardens and field trips to Washington, DC, the Shakespeare Festival in Oregon, and the Cesar Chavez National Monument in Southern California.

Afterschool programs

Jamestown Community Center supports the afterschool program offered at JLMS. In the 2018/2019 school year JLMS is excited to launch our first year as a Beacon site with increased academic and enrichment programs both in our afterschool program and during the school day.
